For sale is a vintage 1959 Fender Jazzmaster electric guitar with the original manual, hang tag, case, and strap. Yeah it's the real deal here and not much you can say about the true classics that changed the industry but being able to play this guitar for the last month has been one of the greatest parts of my job since I started. I sold a 63 Jazzmaster last year and I was in love with that guitar but when I got this guitar in my hands I was just so taken back at the sound and feel to a whole different level. This was a player's guitar who played around in the rock/blues clubs of southern New England and from what I can tell from the stories is that the guitar never left the area. The original owner said he bought it in 59 and didn't do much to the guitar and even kept the original manual, ID hang tag, and strap. I have been researching this guitar for the past month but maybe some of you auction followers have more info than the forums: I still can't figure out if Fender issued these leather guitar straps and who signed these ID hang tags back in 59 (Leo or another employee)? Neck plate, ID hang tag, and pots (26th week of 1959) all helped date this guitar. Hand written neck dates were not on some of the later 59's and this guitar falls within that time frame with no writing on it. The sound is well let's put it this way, I have sold over 450 guitars and this so far is the best sounding guitar I have ever played. Not plugged in it has this amazing clarity and chime like tone on the highs. The mids and low just are perfectly balanced and with a snappy feel if you dig in a bit. Plugged in this guitar comes to life. On a clean setting you get to really here why they called this a Jazzmaster with just amazing tone and the warmest overall sound I have heard. If you haven't smiled in a while add some gain in fact add a ton of gain and if you still aren't smiling see a doctor because this guitar is a beast when it's driven. Dinosaur Jr, Wilco, Radiohead, and Sonic Youth swear by them and I agree if you are looking for a vintage guitar that just comes to life with the gain cranked this is it. I had an absolute blast trying different settings and the warmth of the tone never dies and the sustain is just unreal. I do believe the guitar is 99 percent all original, original wiring, frets , tuning machines. The only parts that I am stumped on if it's original is the tone knob and the selector tip. I met with Dave at EQ Guitars in Boston and he believes the tone knob is and that the gold lettering has oxidation making it turn darker. The selector tip we are just not sure if it darkened naturally but again for a 59 that has case candy I think I can look past the tiny stuff. Please use the zoom feature to look at the photos. I am not going to get into every little piece of play wear because this guitar is 53 years old and buyers please expect the guitar to have corresponding wear. Condition is just what you expect for a vintage piece, beautifully worn in. Front of the headstock looks great with just a little of the lettering faded. Fret board and dots look amazing for a 59. I do believe the frets are original since they have fine pitting and worn low but if you like that old Gibson fretless wonder feel you will love them. Front of the body as you can see has the appropriate wear with picking scratches and dings through the finish. The pickguard has warped in areas which is present on almost all vintage Jazzmasters and the turning wheels and neck pup selector are a bit stiff when you turn them but work fine. Back of the headstock has some wear around the edges. Kluson Deluxe tuners look excellent. Back of the neck show that gorgeous relic look but this is the real thing not recreated. Neck plate has patina and scratches. Back of the body has buckle rash and wear. Sides and bottom show the most wear as you can see which is a normal on most vintage player pieces I have seen. I have had no real issues with it when I got it besides a little buzzing on the low E because the action was so low. I raised the action a bit and just love how it plays. Now for the collector who will not be playing this much I would just get a pro cleaning and set up by a well respected shop and that would be it. I would leave the original frets because I love the feel of them and break this out for special occasions only but then again I'm a worrier about bringing a guitar of this caliber to the local Boston club for a show. Photos are the actual guitar for sale but the video is not and just so you can get an idea of the tone. International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. I will ship worldwide but please make sure the country you reside in will accept a box that is 46",19",7". Also for international buyers outside N. America, I will only ship with a carrier that will insure it for its full value. Assume it will need to ship with UPS Global Service.

All Original / No Breaks or Cracks Comes with original case, has some typical wear nothing major Sollidbody, 2 Pickups, Long Scale Neck This DuoSonic is very clean. Has typical weather checking and a few dings on the front and back of body Fretboard is very clean with very little wear on frets Amazing player guitar as well, Guitar may need a simple setup to players preference. All electronics, switches, knobs work with no issues Third version - Duo-Sonic II (1964-1968) In 1964 the Duo-Sonic was redesigned based on the Fender Mustang that had recently been added to the student model line but without the vibrato tail-piece. The student guitars now all featured larger and slightly offset bodies, necks with larger headstocks and rosewood fingerboards and plastic pickguards with the volume and tone controls mounted on a separate metal plate. Pick-up selection was moved above the pick-ups on both the Duo-Sonic and the Mustang and utilized two 3-position on-off-on switches that allowed for in and out-of-phase sounds. The pickups were also reverse-wound/reverse-polarity, which made them into a functional Humbucker when both pick-ups were used simultaneously. Also added in this redesign was the option of a 24 inch scale neck in addition to the 22.5 inch scale. This re-designed model was re-named Duo-Sonic II although decals with and without the II designation were used occasionally. In addition to white, Daphne Blue and Dakota Red colors added. The Duo-Sonic lasted until 1969 when it was dropped most likely because the Mustang with its tremolo tail piece was far more popular. The Duo-Sonic I and II are both considered rare and have displayed growing collector value. The Duo-Sonic II in particular is often seen as a desirable alternative to the more popular Mustang, since it lacks the difficult-to-maintain tremolo bridge. more information on the Duo Sonic History: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Duo-Sonic Lone Star State Mine All Sales Final/No Returns No International Shipping I will notify you once item has shipped and send a tracking# Via FedEx Ground or Home Delivery The item will ship within 24-48 hours after payment clears on business days, or shipped Monday Morning if purchased on Friday evening, Saturday, or Sunday Free Shipping is for USA only excluding Hawaii and Alaska Please provide your phone number and let me know if item is going to a business or residence at purchase

Untitled DocumentLos Angeles Guitar Shop®buy / sell / trade 213 · 369 · 0539Item Details For your consideration is this vintage 1981 Gibson Professional 335-S Deluxe electric guitar. This particular example, serial number 81051650, is in very excellent all original condition. Designed as a solid-body companion to its semi-hollowbody ES-335 counterpart, the 335-S Deluxe was the most decorated version of the early-80's 335-S models. This beautiful 335-S also features early Tim Shaw half-white PAF pickups and an incredibly rich Cherry Red finish. Easily considered one of the coolest models to be produced during the Norlin era, the model was engineered to be highly versatile, and is consequently a fantastic player's instrument. Do not miss out on this great opportunity to get a fine example for a very reasonable Buy it Now price! Serial Number: 81051650 Potentiometer Codes: 1378045 Pickup Resistance: Neck 7.88?, Bridge 7.85? Weight: 8 lbs. 1 oz. The 335-S Deluxe features: a sculptured mahogany solidbody construction, the original Cherry finish, 3-piece mahogany neck, bound Ebony fingerboard, polished brass nut, (2) high output Tim Shaw humbucking pickups, coil tap switch, Tune-O-Matic bridge, non-original traditional style stop tailpiece (instead of the cumbersome TP-6), and chrome-plated deluxe tuning machines. As mentioned above, this guitar is really a fantastic player's instrument. Above all else, it was created to be versatile, functional, and practical. This intuitive design results in a very dynamic tonal range: from super rich and heavy chunkiness to clean and delicate crispiness, the factory coil-tap lets the player pick from a very wide spectrum of sounds. The neck is perfectly straight and the slim-taper profile develops from thin to medium depth. The factory medium-sized frets still retain plenty of fret-life. The Tim Shaw PAF pickups both sound incredible, and with respect to a tenth of an Ohm, are identically matched.Aside from various superficial dings on the front of the guitar, and some expected belt buckle wear/rash on the back of the body, this guitar is in very fine cosmetic condition. Most would rate this guitar a strong 8.5/10.The guitar includes a new plastic hard case for safety via shipping, which is not pictured.
